The Misfit’s (No Comments)

I’ve told you that Mum, Pop and I love to go to garage sales.  Usually we are just looking for books but this one was different.

The Misfit's

The Misfit's

We were one of the first ones to arrive at this garage sale and after making a quick look around to see if they had any books, Mum noticed a big box filled with these gnomes.  As I was walking around looking at stuff I noticed a few more just standing here and there.  All in all there were 9 gnomes.  Mum said she had never seen a more motley crew of misfits.
They all looked as if they hadn’t been out in public in years.  Their cloths were torn, their hats were faded.  Some were holding lights that no longer worked.  I told Mum and Pop, “we have to adopt these gnomes and give them a home”.  Mum agreed and made a bargain price with the former owner who said she just didn’t want to be bothered with them any more.  Can you believe someone would just shut away one of my kind with no thought of how they might feel?
Mum told me not to be sad as she was going to send them all out to have new cloths made, new hats made and the lanterns fixed.
By the way, there is even a girl gnome included.  I think she has some real possibilities after a little spit and shine.  I’m going to take a picture when they all get cleaned up.    I haven’t found out what their names are yet.  They haven’t had much to say to me so far except “thank you”.  I’ll keep you posted.
You’ll see, they won’t be misfit’s for long. My family just keeps growing and growing.  Isn’t it great!

Isn't yellow a great color

WE GOT IT, WE REALLY GOT IT!!!  This is the car I’ve been telling you about and Mum and Pop finally decided to buy it.

Now if will just stop raining and warm up a little we can take it out for a real drive with the top down.  It seems like ever since we brought the car home it’s been raining and it’s cold.  Mum said we have to store it for the winter but I sure hope we get to take a small trip with it before we have to do that.

Mum said we’re going to drive it to Florida this winter to visit my brother and his family so then we can put the top down.  I’m thinking that I have to get a hawaiian shirt and sun glasses to look really cool in it.

We did put the top down and drove to the A&W one night and I really thought that was fun.  Since I have to sit in the back seat, it gets really windy back there.  It’s a good thing I wear my cap because my hair would get really messed up.  I’ll take some pictures when the weather turns a little nicer and we can take it out for a really nice ride.
