We came across the “Little Brown Church in the Vale” on the first day of our Smokey Mountains trip.  http://www.littlebrownchurch.org/  Having never stopped there before we took a short break to experience the song.  As you can see the church still has regular sunday services.  I grew up singing that song so it felt right to actually see what I had only invisioned in my head all these years.  Well worth the stop – maybe only took a half hour – but I left feeling real good.
