Roulf is on the move (No Comments)

Guess where I am?Just got this e-mail from Roulf.  He asked me to pass this along to his Mum and all his friends so that they will know he’s OK.

He didn’t say where he was at but it looks like a nice quiet place to be.  He said he’s having a great time.

Roulf, I want to be where you are.  Cute waitress!   As you can see, I'm not ready to come home yet!I thought we were cousins.  Cousins go everywhere together remember.

Can you find Roulf in this picture?Roulf said you’ll have to look close to find him in this picture.  It looks to me like Roulf is having more fun than me right now.

Roulf, wherever you are please keep sending pictures so we know you’re OK.  Looks to me like you having a really fun time.

Make a Wish (No Comments)

Once again we’re on our way to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the “Make a Wish” motorcycle parade.  I’ve only been in the parade for two years but Mum and Pop have done it for 8 years.  They said I can go again this year.

This is so cool.  We’re going to leave this afternoon and do some extra riding to get there.  The temperature is very warm and the sun is shining.  How much better than this can it get for motorcycling.  We’re going to stay by my Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Steve house tonight and tomorrow night.  I like staying at their house.  She has gnomes kinda like me and I get to play with my cousins.  She has a real gnome house so tonight we’ll get to have a sleepover in the house.  I’ll bring my sleeping bag and some snacks and we’ll stay up late and tell scary stories.

Tomorrow we’ll ride the motorcycles all day and then be in the parade tomorrow night.  That is the best part.  Everybody takes their lawn chairs outside and watches us ride by.  They wave their flags and I wave back.  After that we’ll have a party and then Sunday morning we will ride back home.  It will be a short trip but oh so much fun.  I’ll tell you more about it when I get back.

Roulf, wish you were coming along but you’re probably having your own kind of fun.  Don’t forget about me and let me know what you’ve been doing.

Two Harbors,Minnesota (1 Comment)

img_09192After a long day of driving we finally made it to Two Harbors,Minnesota.  Totally awesome!  Got to see a really big ship come in.  Pop said the ship is here to pick up Tac.

img_0914As you can see Grace got to come along.  I’m not sure how this vacation is going to go with her along.  She whines a lot.  Pop put the top down on the Mustang so almost right away she started complaining that she was cold.  Then it was that the wind was blowing her hair around and then that the sun was shining in her eyes.  She just doesn’t get what this is really all about.

We stopped at a light house in Two Harbors and that was where we saw a big ship coming in.  Grace and I walked way to the edge of the rocks to get a closer look.  She was scared but I wasn’t.img_0921

Tonight we are staying at a really cool cottage type Inn.  Out in the woods with lots of trees around us and Lake Superior right across the road.  I’m glad I brought my jacket along because it’s kinda cool by the lake.  Probably just something else Grace will whine about.

That’s about all for today. I’ll let you know what we did tomorrow after we get settled in for the night

I finally going on vacation again!!!! (No Comments)

Tomorrow Mom, Pop and me get to go on vacation for 4 days.  I haven’t been on vacation since we went to see Erik in February.

We are going to the north shore first and then Pop says we’re just going to drive.  We’re taking the convertible of course.  Hopefully we’ll be able to drive with the top down most of the time.  I’ll take some pictures of how cool I can look in a yellow mustang convertible.

I haven’t asked yet but maybe they’ll let Grace go along.  I know she would have a good time since she’s never been on a vacation before.

I’m thinking about wind blowing in my hair while drinking a McDonalds chocolate shake.  Life can’t get any better.  I’ll keep you posted along the way.

Where’s Ernie????? (No Comments)

Today we went down to the pier in Destin, Florida.  I had a great time.  I’m going to play a game with today’s fun stuff that we did.  This pier had lots and lots of hiding places.  When you look at the pictures ,try to find where I’m hiding in them.  You will have to look very very carefully because even Mum and Pop couldn’t find where I was hiding until they looked a long time.  A couple of times I got in trouble but I didn’t care, I was having a lot of fun.  Besides this is the last day we’ll be in Florida.  Tomorrow morning we have to get back in the truck and start driving back.

There were so many really big boats at this pier.  Pop promised that next year when we come down, we are going to hire a fishing boat with a guide so we can go out far into the Gulf of Mexico to go fishing.  I saw some of the people who had gone out fishing and they had some big fish.  Some of the fish were a red color.  I don’t think I would like to eat a red fish.

oysters on the half shellWe had lunch at the pier also.  Erik ordered two platters of oysters on the half shell.  Everyone liked them but Mum and me.  Pop would take a fork and pick out the oyster and put it on a cracker and put some horseradish on it.  He said it was really good.  Mum said the only thing that would be good is if she found a pearl under the oyster.

Erik also ordered, crab, and calamari which we all liked the taste of.  I was thinking that it would be so great if we could do this everyday but Mum said if her and Pop didn’t get back to work we’d never be able to do this.

Where's Ernie?OK here is some pictures to look at to find where I am hiding.  If you can see me, send me a note and tell me where I am and I will tell you if you are right.Find me yet?

After lunch we walked some more and Carmen and Mum did some shopping in the stores.  Erik bought us some Fruit Smoothie’s.  I had the coconut and banana.  It was DELICIOUS!!!

This vacation has been so much fun.  I’m not ready to go home yet.  I did get a little sunburned on my face today so at least people will know I went on vacation.  I can hardly wait to tell all my gnome friends what a great time we had.
