Roulf’s Back!!!!! (No Comments)

Roulf’s home.  He’s really really home.

We had our annual family get together at the lake and who should show up, but Roulf.  I know his Mum said he had to be there but after this past year, nobody thought he’d show up.  But he did, he really, really did.

I didn’t get to talk to him for very long because after his Mum got him back, she locked him in the car so he couldn’t run away again, but guess what?   He brought Gunther home with him.  He said Gunther’s Mum didn’t want to be “saddled down” so he did her a favor by taking Gunther with him, but I think Gunther looks a lot like Roulf.

Roulf’s Mum sent me these pictures to show how happy Roulf is to be home.  Seems like even the Peacocks are happy.

I’m so glad you’re home Roulf.  I know you have lots of stories to tell me.  We have to get together again so you can tell me all about what you did while you were gone.  And please tell me about this Gunther thing.  Sorry we couldn’t spend more time together at the lake, but Pop locked me in the truck too, so nobody would get any ideas about kidnapping me.  I kinda wish they would have.  Seems like you had more fun than me this past year.  Oh well, I have the whole summer ahead.

Roulf’s new friends (No Comments)

Got these from Roulf today.  He says he made a new friend while in Virginia and is wondering if his Mum would let him take her home with him when he finally comes home.

They look pretty cozy cuddled up close to his also new friend Jake.  I have to wonder why Roulf would want to come home at all.  He says that Jake is one of the nicest dogs he’s ever met.  I say he looks a lot like Maggie (hmmm – I see another possible match)

Here’s the catch – Zelda comes with some extra baggage and Roulf is concerned that this might slow down his active single life.  His name is “Gardner” and Roulf swears he’s not his.  I want to believe that but anyone who can go to Virginia Tech and get a degree in a couple of weeks just maybe can also make a “Gardner” in a couple of weeks.

I say “Roulf come home and leave the new friends back in Virginia”.  We can have so much fun together.  You don’t want to get tied down yet – you’re to young and have such a long life ahead of you.  At least come back to the lake this year and let’s talk about this.

Roulf at Virginia Tech? (No Comments)

OK, so I just got an email from Roulf complete with pictures.  He’s saying that he just graduated with a MBA  in Hospitality and Travel.  Is that possible?  I mean it was just a few weeks ago he was in the hospital and now here he is with a graduation cap on.

My question is how did he get all the way to Virginia and what does he hope to do with an MBA in Hospitality and Travel?    Obviously he’s there as the pictures prove, but now what is in store for him.

Roulf said that these two crazy pictures are the type of people he might have to deal with while in the hospitality industry.

Roulf said he also had a little time for some sight seeing after graduation exercises, but soon will be on his way again.  He said he’s thinking about maybe doing a cruise ship  to some exotic island for a little while to put to use all that he has learned.  Roulf, this would be a really good time to ask me if I would like to go along.  The answer would be YES!

OMG – what has happened to my friend Roulf? (No Comments)

I just got these pictures and don’t even know where they came from but now I’m REALLY SCARED.  Roulf where ever you have been and whatever you have been doing, it has finally caught up with you.  Are you DEAD?   Mum says you can’t be dead because someone would have called.  Roulf’s Mum – have you heard anything?

Did you have a heart attack ? I see a nurse checking for a pulse.  Did you break some bones?   I see you are getting an X-ray?  Did you take a fall to your head ?  I don’t know what all of those machines are but it can’t be good.  Roulf if you are OK – you need to let us know.  Who do you think is going to pay for all those medical bills?  Universal Health Care hasn’t taken effect yet in case you haven’t been watching the news.

OK Roulf, keep having your fun but sooner or later you’re going to have to come home.  O what stories you will tell.  Hope you’re keeping a scrape book of your adventures.  Next time don’t wait so long to keep in touch.

My Florida Vacation so far (No Comments)

I’ve been really busy so I haven’t had much chance to let you know what we’ve all been doing here in Florida.  The weather is so much nicer than in Minnesota.  Mum and Pop say they aren’t ready to go home in a couple of days.  I think I’d like to stay for a longer time because Sara and I are having a lot of fun.  She really likes me.  The other day Mum and Sara were reading a Sesame Street book and Mum said “look Sara there’s Ernie” and Sara said “That’s not Ernie” and ran into the kitchen and got me instead and said “This is Ernie”.  I though that was really funny.

Mum has been painting in Erik and Carmen’s house.  She got a lot of painting done but today she said Erik will have to finish it.  Pop has been busy working outside having a lot of fun playing with Erik’s tools and doing lots of work in Erik’s yard.

Yesterday, Pop, Mum, Carmen, Sara and me went shopping.  Sara wants to have a play set outside.  We looked and looked but couldn’t find one that she liked yet.  Maybe today we can go and look some more.  Today it is raining so we can’t go to the beach.  The neighbor lady has a really big fishing boat and we were supposed to all go fishing today but now we can’t because it is raining and the wind is blowing really hard.  Maybe we can go tomorrow or else we’ll have to wait until next year.  To bad because I really wanted to go fishing.  I’ve never been fishing.  Erik said the water is called the “Gulf”.  I don’t know about that, I just know it’s a really really big lake.

My brother bought a new truck yesterday and Pop and I helped.  Isn’t it a great looking truck?  It has lots of room in it.  Today we are going to go for a long ride in it.  Since I helped my brother buy this truck I asked him to take a picture of me by his truck.  I think it’s so cool.  I wish my Pop would buy one just like it.

Tonight was so cool.  I’ve never been to a restaurant like this before.  It was called the Yamato  Japanese and sushi bar.  We got to pick our food from the menu and then the chef (called Mike) a traditional Japanese name he said and then he cooked it while we watched.

So fun time is over and it’s time to go home Pop says.  It sure was fun and I hope the snow is all gone when we get home.
